Code of Student Conduct
一
春晖中文学校致力于开发学生的中文学习能力。开创、维护并保持良好的学习环境是每个学生、老师和家长的共同责任。
本着鼓励和督促学生勤奋学习、不断提高和巩固学习水平的目的，特制定《春晖中文学校学生守则》。本守则适用于春晖中文学校的所有学生；并规范学校的各项活动。
总则
一、勤奋学习，努力进取，创造并保持生动活泼和奋发向上的学习环境；
二、勤于思考，刻苦钻研，培养和锻炼良好的学习习惯；
三、尊敬老师，团结同学，继承和发扬中华民族的优良文化传统；
四、举止文明，待人礼貌，爱护学校的财产。

二、上课专心听讲，不做小动作，不随便讲话；
三、不得携带于学校活动无关的玩具或其它用品；
四、积极参与课堂活动，举手发言；
五、认真完成课堂及课外作业；
六、课堂讨论、提问和回答问题一律使用中文。

一、上课前要预习功课，准备好课堂用具；
二、课后按时完成作业，复习并巩固课堂学习内容；
三、注意安全，不得在校舍内奔跑追逐，不许打架、骂人；
四、未经许可，不得擅自到校舍外活动。

处理办法
一、违反以上守则的行为，老师先予口头警告；
二、不服从者，在教室面壁静坐五分钟，并取消课间自由一次；
三、继续违反守则者，由校方给家长发正式警告通知；
四、三次警告通知以后，以停学为最终处理手段。
五、若损坏学校任何财产或物品，须交赔偿费及罚款。

The First State Community Chinese School is dedicated to developing student abilities for learning Chinese language and cultural heritage. It is the common responsibility for every student, teacher, and parent to establish and maintain an orderly and positive learning environment at school.
The Code applies to all students and is in force at all activities in school.
I. General principles
1. Establish and maintain an orderly and positive learning environment;
2. Study diligently; Develop good study habits;
3. Respect teachers; cooperate with other students;
4. Behave civilly and friendly; respect school property.
II. Rules for school activities
1. Arrive at school on time; lateness, leaving early, or unexcused absence is not allowed;
2. Pay attention to classroom teacher during lessons; speaking or other activities in classroom without permission is forbidden;
3. Toys or materials unrelated to school activities are not permitted at school;
4. Participate actively in classroom activities; Request to speak by raising hands;
5. Complete classroom exercise and homework diligently;
6. Only Chinese can be used in classroom activities unless approved by school otherwise.
III. Rules for recess activities
1. Prepare in advance for each class;
2. Complete homework after class;
3. No running inside school is allowed; abusive language or action is forbidden;
4. No activities are allowed outside of school area without supervision.
IV. Disciplinary actions
1. Oral warning will be given first for violation of the Code;
2. Time-out (5 minutes in classroom corner) and revoking recess privileges for one period will be carried out if warning is not effective;
3. A formal warning letter will be sent to parents by School if violations persist;
4. Suspension from school after sending three letters will be the terminal action;
5. Both compensatory and punitive fines will be assessed for any property or material damages at School.
